Meet Erica
Erica is a civil rights attorney and community advocate. Erica grew up in Northern Nevada and has called District 24 home since 2018. The importance of collective action and service to others was instilled in her from a young age. Her mother was a member of United Scenic Artists local 829 IATSE for over 25 years. Her father was Navy Veteran and a dedicated teacher for almost 40 years, a position he loved.
Erica’s candidacy is built on the work she’s done in her community, centering the voices of impacted people and speaking truth to power.

Erica’s candidacy is built on the work she’s done in her community, centering the voices of impacted people and speaking truth to power.
Whether she was advocating for consumer protections and housing justice in rural Nevada as a legal aid attorney, defending protesters in court as a trial deputy public defender, drafting our 2022 Executive Order protecting and expanding abortion access following the Dobbs decision as Deputy General Counsel, or going toe to toe with Republicans as they worked to unwind criminal justice reforms this legislative session as a lobbyist, Erica is ready to fight for her community.

Outside of her work as an advocate, Erica sits on the board of Planned Parenthood Votes Nevada, serves as Chair of the Democratic Women of Washoe County, Chair of the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the WashoeDEMS, and is an executive board member of Emerge Nevada. Erica is a proud member of the Washoe County Public Attorneys Association. A true champion for the underdog, Erica has fostered 10 rescue dogs set for euthanasia in high kill shelters.
Erica knows that policy must be created by and for the people it impacts, and she will continue to champion:
